Key Responsibilities

  • •Own trade readiness for new product introductions (NPI) and new market entries, running classification/origin pre-assessments and regulatory scans before launch commitments are made.
  • •Build and administer repeatable trade-readiness checklists and review cadences to deliver trade input early in product and go-to-market decisions.
  • •Serve as Trade’s voice in launch decision forums, providing clear, defensible trade-readiness signals for go/no-go decisions.
  • •Coordinate between the Risk, Controls & Governance pillar and Trade Value Optimization to ensure risk clearances and landed-cost/duty inputs reach launch decisions with lead time.
  • •Design and stand up intake, documentation, and escalation processes, including tracking trade requests for landed-cost and risk-clearance needs, and report pillar KPIs.

Key Requirements

  • •8-12+ years of professional experience in global trade compliance, customs, or international trade operations, ideally in consumer electronics, health-tech/medical device, or CPG.
  • •Deep knowledge of global import/export regulations, HS classification, country-of-origin determinations, and trade-risk assessment for new product launches.
  • •Proven ability to build a program, process, or function from scratch, defining governance and cadence.
  • •Excellent cross-functional influence skills to get Product, Legal, Sourcing, and Go-to-Market teams to adopt a new trade-readiness gate without formal authority.
  • •Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable escalating risk and readiness status to program leadership.
