Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete the plant operator training program and operate equipment to mass-produce and pack products.
  • •Monitor machinery and perform hourly quality checks for defects to meet customer specifications.
  • •Pack approved parts into boxes for sealing and shipping, and complete daily reports and logs including scrap and downtime.
  • •Notify the Production Supervisor and Process Technician when items do not meet quality requirements or when machinery needs repair.
  • •Make process and parameter changes, adjust device controls, and start molds according to set-up sheets.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or equivalent) and either a one-year certificate from a college/technical school or six months of related experience/training (or equivalent combination).
  • •Ability to read simple words and recognize similarities/differences between words and series of numbers.
  • •Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and compute rate, ratio, and percent, including interpreting bar graphs.
  • •Must attend required Safety/OSHA training and adhere to all posted safety rules and Amcor’s “No Injuries Program”.
  • •Must be able to meet the job’s physical demands, including frequent standing and lifting up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
