Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership across major transmission and substation projects (330kV to 500kV) from concept through detailed design and construction support.
  • •Lead delivery of EHV/HV substation primary design packages.
  • •Undertake and review power system studies and design calculations, including load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination.
  • •Develop substation layouts, equipment specifications, and design documentation; support design reviews and construction phases.
  • •Engage with clients, utilities, contractors, and key stakeholders; contribute to proposals, technical excellence, and capability development.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualifications in Electrical, Power Systems, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • •Significant experience in HV/EHV substation design within the power or utilities sector.
  • •Proven delivery experience for substation projects in the 330kV to 500kV range.
  • •Strong capability in one or more: earthing design, EMF and LFI studies, insulation coordination studies, or arc flash studies.
  • •Experience undertaking technical studies (e.g., load flow, short circuit, protection coordination) rather than only reviewing third-party work.
