Job Summary

Lead rail systems engineering and safety assurance work within the Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance team. Develop system engineering plans and processes, define technical requirements and system architectures, and manage technical requirements using tools such as DOORS and ComplyPro. Serve as senior technical resource across studies and designs, collaborate in multidisciplinary reviews, and help shape scope, work packages, estimates, budgets, and schedules to meet client requirements.

Job Function: IT Operations (Systems/Network Admin)

Key Responsibilities

•Develop system engineering plans and processes, including system definitions, technical requirements, and system architectures.
•Manage technical requirements using appropriate techniques and tools (e.g., DOORS, ComplyPro) and deliver systems engineering processes for customer requirements.
•Evaluate relationships between system requirements and system design/development needs; develop scope of works and work packages and act as senior technical resource.
•Provide specialized technical input to studies and design; develop study and design procedures to support high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
•Participate in multidisciplinary reviews of project deliverables; support cost/effort estimates, quality control of design calculations/drawings, and technical specification sections; inform engineering budgets and schedules.

Key Requirements

•Engineering degree or equivalent
•Chartered Engineer
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Experience in railway systems safety and assurance, including system safety and interoperability
•Knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and regulations
