Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop system engineering plans and processes, including system definitions, technical requirements, and system architectures.
  • •Manage technical requirements using appropriate techniques and tools (e.g., DOORS, ComplyPro) and deliver systems engineering processes for customer requirements.
  • •Evaluate relationships between system requirements and system design/development needs; develop scope of works and work packages and act as senior technical resource.
  • •Provide specialized technical input to studies and design; develop study and design procedures to support high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
  • •Participate in multidisciplinary reviews of project deliverables; support cost/effort estimates, quality control of design calculations/drawings, and technical specification sections; inform engineering budgets and schedules.

Key Requirements

  • •Engineering degree or equivalent
  • •Chartered Engineer
  • •Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • •Experience in railway systems safety and assurance, including system safety and interoperability
  • •Knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and regulations
