Key Responsibilities

  • •Shape and execute the enterprise-wide energy strategy, including governance, frameworks, risk management, and sustainability.
  • •Lead global energy procurement, commercial negotiations, and contracting strategies, including stakeholder relationship management across regional energy markets.
  • •Optimize energy costs and supply arrangements to support operational competitiveness across Alcoa’s global portfolio.
  • •Monitor energy markets, regulatory change, geopolitical risk, and emerging industry trends to inform strategic decisions and commercial opportunities.
  • •Lead enterprise energy risk management, including market exposure, investment strategies, and long-term supply planning and governance.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant senior leadership experience in energy procurement, energy markets, commodity management, or commercial leadership within a global heavy industrial organization.
  • •Deep understanding of electricity, natural gas, renewable energy, and broader energy commodities, including regulatory frameworks, commercial contracting, and supplier negotiations.
  • •Proven capability in energy risk management, market analytics, commercial optimization, and long-term supply planning.
  • •Demonstrated success leading and developing geographically dispersed, multicultural teams and aligning regional execution with enterprise strategy.
  • •Confident executive-level communication and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders.
