Key Responsibilities

  • •Generate multiple product concepts through freehand sketching and create compelling product forms, styling themes, and design directions for power tools and accessories.
  • •Develop concept sketches, renderings, and presentations, including detailed design proposals that balance aesthetics, ergonomics, usability, and functionality.
  • •Build complex, production-ready advanced surface models in Creo, convert concepts into manufacturable 3D CAD models, and refine geometry using CMF, assembly requirements, and tooling constraints.
  • •Conduct ergonomic studies and human-factor evaluations, and develop handle/grip designs, trigger locations, and interface layouts for user comfort.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, product management, and suppliers to support DFM/DFA needs, rapid prototyping, design validation, and design reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Industrial Design with 7-9 years of industrial design experience in power tools, consumer products, outdoor equipment, appliances, or related products.
  • •Strong freehand sketching, concept visualization, and ability to communicate design intent through presentation-quality renderings and sketches.
  • •Strong understanding of product form development and design aesthetics.
  • •Proficiency with CAD and industrial design software including SolidWorks, Creo, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • •Experience with injection-molded plastic components and knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, die casting, over-molding, surface finishing) is preferred.
