Job Summary

Build and evolve backend-leaning fullstack systems that power AI agent evaluation at scale. Own synthetic testing, evaluation workflows, validation frameworks, and tooling that measure quality and uncover failure modes. Collaborate with product, design, data, and AI/ML partners to ship end-to-end capabilities, raise engineering quality, and improve reliability, scalability, and observability for Zendesk’s AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

•Shape systems, tooling, and workflows for AI agent evaluation at scale, with a backend-leaning focus.
•Design and build backend services, APIs, and event-driven systems that support testing and evaluation workflows.
•Develop reliable testing infrastructure and data workflows to validate and improve AI agents.
•Create internal and customer-facing capabilities, including polished user-facing tools when needed.
•Collaborate across product, design, data, and AI/ML teams, raise engineering quality, and mentor other engineers.

Key Requirements

•5+ years building modern web applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
•Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, and event-driven systems.
•Strong software engineering best practices including clean architecture, testing strategy, observability, and maintainability.
•Ability to work across the stack and deliver polished, performant, accessible user experiences.
•Drive complex projects independently from ambiguity to execution while partnering effectively across functions.
