Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term, walk-around counseling to service members and families at assigned locations, including assessment, brief counseling, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
  • •Deliver training and health and wellness presentations, and participate in health fairs and base activities.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily via smartphone, web, or fax while maintaining client confidentiality.
  • •Establish and maintain relationships with community resources and installation POCs to ensure MFLC services meet installation needs.
  • •Respond to critical incidents, surge events, and special requests as directed by POC and program management.

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s Degree in a Mental Health related field
  • •Valid unrestricted independent counseling license from a State (or DC/US Territory/Commonwealth)
  • •Minimum of one year of post-licensure clinical experience
  • •Proficiency with technology (Microsoft Suite, Internet navigation, Video-conferencing)
  • •Ability to engage with military members and families in diverse settings and respond to emergent situations
