Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and maintain high-throughput, fault-tolerant ingestion and transformation pipelines for training workloads, optimizing latency, throughput, and correctness.
  • •Build and operate the data lakehouse, including table formats, partitioning strategies, and compaction policies for ML consumption.
  • •Instrument pipelines with data quality checks, lineage tracking, and anomaly detection to quickly trace model failures back to data issues.
  • •Partner with ML engineers to define feature stores, dataset versioning, and experiment-to-production data contracts, integrating with MLflow for tracking.
  • •Collaborate with AI researchers, platform engineers, and software engineers to understand access patterns, optimize query performance, and unblock training runs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 175,000 - 215,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of professional data engineering experience excluding internships.
  • •BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • •Hands-on production experience building batch/streaming pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Flink, Airflow, and dbt.
  • •Deep proficiency with columnar formats like Parquet, open table formats such as Apache Iceberg or Apache Paimon, and object storage like S3.
  • •Strong SQL skills, including experience with StarRocks for large-scale analytical queries and real-time analytics over a lakehouse.
