Key Responsibilities

•Execute and deliver engineering designs for HV/EHV overhead transmission lines (typically 132 kV–765 kV+).
•Develop technical deliverables including calculations, conductor and earth wire selection, and insulator configurations.
•Define and validate clearances, right-of-way requirements, and design criteria; perform sag-tension analysis and clearance validation against relevant standards.
•Conduct electrical studies (ampacity, corona and radio interference, electric field analysis, line impedance, shielding angle, lightning performance) and provide tower-loading inputs.
•Coordinate interdisciplinary delivery across project phases, guide CAD designers/drafters, and review/validate drawings, documentation, and compliance with IEC/IEEE/EN/British Standards and National Grid/DNO specifications.

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience delivering HV (132kV+) overhead line transmission design and engineering.
•Proven experience on HV/EHV transmission line projects (132 kV–765 kV+).
•Experience delivering engineering design packages across multiple project phases.
•Strong knowledge of transmission line electrical principles, mechanical behavior, clearances/safety, and routing/tower spotting.
•Advanced experience with tools such as PLS-CADD/PLS-TOWER/PLS-POLE and ETAP/ATPDraw, plus strong sag–tension and transmission line calculation skills.
