  • •Lead and facilitate risk assessments, incident investigations, and risk reviews to drive continuous improvement and organisational learning.
  • •Coordinate and maintain site risk, compliance, and assurance frameworks aligned with legislative, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • •Develop and deliver assurance activities including audits, inspections, and critical control verifications to evaluate risk control effectiveness.
  • •Provide expert advice on risk management and compliance obligations, coach leaders on critical controls and governance practices, and monitor emerging risks and incident trends.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate qualification (Bachelor/Honours or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as Safety is highly desirable.
  • •Previous experience working in a coal mine, with an understanding of QLD Coal Mining Legislation.
  • •Current Manual Drivers Licence.
  • •Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Isometrics (or other safety systems) plus relevant compliance registers such as “Environment Essentials”.
  • •Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively, while working autonomously and managing time well.
