Job Summary

Support Deliveroo’s Technology and Procurement team by advising on complex commercial transactions across SaaS contracts, multi-jurisdictional outsourcings, procurement, and vendor/tech matters. You’ll mitigate vendor risk, manage legal risks from inception to solution, and partner cross-functionally across Tech, Marketing, People, Finance, and Supply Chain. Reporting into the UK & Ireland leadership team, you’ll also represent Legal in working groups, synthesize executive risk notes, and upskill the business on areas like AI risk and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Structure and negotiate a wide range of agreements, from off-the-shelf SaaS contracts to large-scale, multi-jurisdictional business unit outsourcings.
•Provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to stakeholders across Tech, Marketing, People, Finance, and Supply Chain on procurement and strategic projects.
•Represent Legal on steering committees and working groups, navigating emerging challenges, regulatory changes, and new technology rollouts while owning legal risks.
•Translate complex legal risks into Executive and Signatory notes with actionable business insights.
•Provide proactive training and drive operational excellence by improving contracting processes and upskilling the business on topics such as AI risk management and vendor compliance.

Key Requirements

•Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with significant experience providing commercial, strategic legal advice to international businesses.
•Proven track record across core commercial and procurement areas, including technology procurement, AI vendor agreements, payment service provider contracts, and material outsourcings.
•Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence senior leaders, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed global organisation.
•Skilled at distilling complex legal risks for varied audiences and adapting communication style accordingly.
•High commercial acumen and a growth mindset to find creative, business-first solutions in ambiguous or novel areas of law.
