  • •Develop platform-native social treatments for New Yorker journalism across established and emerging social platforms.
  • •Write, edit, and produce social-native assets such as short-form video, platform-specific visual packages, copy, and other creative materials.
  • •Collaborate with art, photo, video, editorial, audience development, and analytics teams to execute social treatments for major stories and initiatives.
  • •Execute daily, weekly, and weekend publishing priorities with strong platform-specific framing, copy, visuals, and formats.

Salary: USD 88,000 - 90,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in social media, digital journalism, audience development, video, or editorial programming at a media organization.
  • •Excellent writing and editing skills translating complex journalism into clear, accurate, engaging social copy.
  • •Strong editorial judgment and a deep familiarity with The New Yorker’s voice, standards, and areas of coverage.
  • •Extensive knowledge of social-media platforms (established and emerging) and the ability to adapt quickly as platforms change.
