Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as Hydraulics Lead on building engineering projects, working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • •Lead delivery of hydraulic designs and calculations, including technical reviews and sign-off, and delegate tasks to junior engineers.
  • •Work directly with clients and project stakeholders to understand requirements, key drivers, and constraints, and provide practical hydraulic solutions.
  • •Deliver a broad range of hydraulic design services, including rainwater harvesting, sanitary plumbing and drainage, trade waste, water reticulation, and hot/warm water systems.
  • •Support the national Hydraulics team across projects and sectors, contributing to delivery of complex building projects.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years’ experience in hydraulic engineering within a consulting environment, with strong understanding of Australian Standards, codes, and industry requirements.
  • •Relevant engineering degree or TAFE qualification, with RPEQ/RPEV registration or ability to obtain it.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • •Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and experience using relevant industry software (Revit preferred).
  • •Australian Citizenship, or being on the pathway to Australian Citizenship, is highly preferred for requirements on some projects.
