Job Summary

Support the Hermosa Taylor Project by designing, implementing, and maintaining process control systems for the processing plant. You’ll review engineering documentation, configure and troubleshoot DCS/PLC/HMI systems, optimize control loops for performance and yield, and develop control system documentation (P&IDs, narratives, loop sheets). The role is primarily based in Tucson and includes field support, vendor coordination, alarm management, and safety-focused participation in commissioning and startup activities.

•Review engineering documentation for accuracy and completeness.
•Configure, implement, and maintain process control systems to optimize operations and ensure safety.
•Troubleshoot process control issues and instrumentation, and optimize control loops and strategies to improve plant performance, efficiency, and yield.
•Develop and maintain control system documentation, including P&IDs, control narratives, and loop sheets, and monitor KPIs for control system performance.
•Support commissioning/startup, provide field support during construction, and coordinate with vendors on control system hardware/software.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
•7+ years of experience working in the mining industry in an operating processing plant.
•5+ years of process control engineering experience (preferred).
•Knowledge of industry standards (ISA, IEC, ISO, NFPA, MSHA, OSHA, etc.).
•Proficiency with P&IDs and control loop diagrams, including PLC programming and SCADA/HMI development.
