Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate LLMs to select models balancing cost, latency, reliability, and accuracy
  • •Architect prompt frameworks and agent behaviors for Ava’s workflows (email generation, chat, scheduling, research)
  • •Optimize multi-step agent chains using RAG, web search integrations, and tool use (CRMs, calendars, APIs)
  • •Drive infrastructure choices for routing, orchestration, eval loops, and memory across agents
  • •Build safety, trust, and guardrails into agents and design success metrics with product

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 170,000 - 225,000 annually
Equity and Bonus:Equity

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years shipping real AI products in production, either at an app-layer AI startup or on a foundation model team
  • •Hands-on experience with agents, function calling, RAG pipelines, or self-healing workflows (LangChain, ReAct, Dust, OpenAI Tools)
  • •Strong background in prompt design, chaining, and retrieval systems with RAG and web search tools
  • •Experience owning latency, reliability, and cost of LLM-powered systems in production
  • •Excellent communication skills and ability to ship like an engineer while thinking like a researcher
