Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build complex end-to-end features in the native Android app, from UI through API integration and local data.
  • •Own non-functional concerns for squad features, including performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
  • •Maintain CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, and deployment hygiene for squad-owned services while addressing technical debt alongside feature work.
  • •Raise engineering quality by championing clean code, test-first practices, and effective code review; produce clear design notes and drive technical design discussions.
  • •Own observability (logs, metrics, traces, alerts), participate in on-call, and lead root-cause analysis; collaborate with Product, SDET, Design, peer squads, and DevOps for readiness and runbooks.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • •6–8 years of software engineering experience with strong native Android delivery and owning apps in production.
  • •Expert-level Android development with Kotlin (Java where required), Android SDK, and Jetpack (Compose, coroutines, architecture components).
  • •Strong testing fundamentals (unit, instrumentation, UI, and end-to-end) and secure coding/OWASP Mobile practices.
  • •Experience with REST and GraphQL integration, offline-first data, local persistence (Room/SQLite), background work, and push notifications.
