Deliver cost engineering support within the UK Real Estate Controls & Performance team in the Defence sector. You’ll implement and maintain cost control systems, support cost estimate preparation, evaluate contractor invoices, and analyze bids and fee proposals. Provide forecasts, cash flow analysis, and regular cost report updates by using a Cost Capture System, partnering closely with project controls and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement, administer, and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
•Assist in preparing and reviewing cost estimates to support decision-making and alternative selection.
•Evaluate contractor invoices prior to submission for pre-approval.
•Use information from the Cost Capture System to input to cost reports and validate spending.
•Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis, maintain the cost report, and provide regular updates on the financial position.

Key Requirements

•Computer literate in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
•Knowledge of multiple discipline-specific software applications such as SAP and Sage.
•Demonstrable project cost control techniques.
•Ability to coordinate with other teams and have basic multi-disciplinary knowledge.
•Good research and analytical skills with excellent oral and written communication.
•Professional working knowledge of project controls software and tools.
