Key Responsibilities

  • •Build methodological foundations and implement algorithms for detecting SNVs, indels, CNVs, and SVs in low-fraction cfDNA samples.
  • •Provide genomics algorithm insights for the panel roadmap, including scientifically defensible approaches for difficult genes and assay edge cases.
  • •Define computational strategies for new targeted and special-purpose callers; prototype, benchmark, and help productionize methods.
  • •Investigate and escalate complex production call issues by separating biological, analytical, and pipeline causes, and codify durable rules.
  • •Partner as a bioinformatics liaison with Variant Management, Reporting, and Laboratory Operations on data quality, variant representation, and system integration.
