Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and development of electric motors for propulsion applications, including e-propulsion, hybrid systems, auxiliary power units, and actuation systems.
  • •Define motor architectures and detailed electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical designs (winding topology, materials, cooling, insulation).
  • •Conduct electromagnetic, thermal, and structural simulations and optimize designs for efficiency, NVH, weight, reliability, and survivability.
  • •Support motor-inverter-control integration, including torque control, efficiency mapping, and fault detection strategies.
  • •Provide certification and compliance support and conduct prototype builds, qualification testing, validation, and root-cause corrective design actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • •Master’s degree or PhD in electric machines, power engineering, or propulsion systems preferred.
  • •8+ years of experience in electric motor design for aerospace, defense, or automotive propulsion.
  • •Hands-on experience designing motor architectures and detailed electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical subsystems.
  • •Experience supporting prototype builds, qualification testing, and validation activities for electric motors.
