Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage, coach, and grow a team of data scientists supporting Tinder’s Integrity organization, including hiring, career development, and performance.
  • •Serve as the primary analytics partner to Product Team Leads across Safety Products, Account Integrity, Anti-Abuse, and Moderation & Ops.
  • •Lead high-stakes or ambiguous investigations personally, especially when abuse patterns shift or enforcement anomalies occur.
  • •Build analytical frameworks for measurement, including prevalence, enforcement precision/recall, appeal and reversal rates, and moderation queue quality/throughput.
  • •Define metrics and guide experimentation/causal measurement approaches, then communicate insights into executive-level narratives for decision-making and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science, data science).
  • •5+ years in data science or analytics, including 2+ years managing data scientists or analysts.
  • •Expert-level SQL and strong working knowledge of Python or R for analysis and modeling.
  • •Deep experience with experimentation and causal inference, especially when clean randomized tests aren’t available.
  • •Experience in trust & safety, fraud, risk, or content moderation (or a related sensitive/adversarial domain).
