Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the development, maintenance, and updating of Footwear and Equipment performance standards, requirements, and guidance documents.
  • •Gather and organize trends and recurring issues from testing services, product safety, and product stewardship teams to inform standards updates.
  • •Support training and education for vendors, suppliers, factories, and laboratories on VF brand-specific performance standards and testing platform use.
  • •Assist with proficiency testing and help evaluate the effectiveness of certified in-house laboratories to support laboratory certification and re-certification.
  • •Support reviews and updates to end-to-end processes, DACI, and SOPs for standards implementation, test request and results review, and retest handling.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Material Science, Textiles, Product Compliance, or a related field.
  • •Equivalent experience in a substantially similar industry may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • •1–2 years of relevant experience supporting standards setting, testing, quality, product stewardship, product safety, or regulatory compliance is preferred.
  • •Experience working with brands, vendors, suppliers, factories, or laboratories is preferred.
  • •Ability to organize technical information and communicate standards clearly through guidance and training materials.
