Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop test plans and conduct outdoor field testing, including module installation, site calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • •Plan, execute, and characterize development engineering experiments in lab and manufacturing environments.
  • •Analyze field data and review results with the Field Analytics team; perform intermediate data analysis using JMP and SQL.
  • •Support Reliability & Development Engineering on project requests and test equipment needs, including solving day-to-day equipment issues.
  • •Maintain documentation and ensure reliability tests complete on schedule, including acquiring samples, testing, and data entry.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 62,500 - 89,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent plus 10 years of relevant technical experience, or 1 year as a Development Engineer Technician II at First Solar.
  • •Associate degree in an engineering discipline (or similar technical discipline) plus 5 years of relevant technical experience, or 1 year as a Development Engineer Technician II at First Solar.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (or similar technical discipline) plus 1 year of relevant technical experience, or 1 year as a Development Engineer Technician II at First Solar.
  • •Proven experience in test development, field work, and troubleshooting.
  • •Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), with JMP and SQL desired; experience with AC/DC voltage and electrical PV/data acquisition equipment is expected.
