Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate research, analysis, and implementation of new or revised investment accounting policies and procedures.
  • •Advise senior management on industry practices for acquiring, recording, analyzing, and preparing complex investment accounting transactions and statements.
  • •Develop and submit complex investment accounting and financial transactions to ensure proper reporting.
  • •Stay current on GAAP and regulatory changes and consult on their internal impact on reporting and financial documents.
  • •Act as project lead for development and design of new or enhanced systems and processes in assigned areas; prepare complex financial information for auditors and regulatory agencies as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •7 years of investment accounting experience, preferably in insurance or financial services and within a specific product/business area.
  • •Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to address functional business-area regulatory requirements for reporting and documentation.
  • •Undergraduate studies in accounting, finance, or business administration (accounting major and degree preferred).
  • •Progress toward CPA designation preferred.
  • •Ability to analyze complex investment accounting problems and interpret financial documents, data, and related legal requirements.
