Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and schedule outbound and inbound loads while coordinating with sales and production.
  • •Coordinate proper loading and shipping orders with S/R personnel and set up shipments with common carriers and outside freight companies.
  • •Determine transportation mode and select appropriate carriers; negotiate rates and coordinate routing and dispatch with delivery instructions.
  • •Ensure internal and external paperwork complies with Universal and DOT regulations and procedures; establish delivery/receiving appointments and loading times.
  • •Audit and approve freight bills; file claims for loss/damage, document shortages, and assist with tracing/expediting orders and related reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Preferred bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
  • •Minimum of two years of experience as a Production Manager or equivalent.
  • •Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • •Preferred experience and knowledge of UFP’s organization, culture, and product lines.
