Key Responsibilities

  • •Build, lead, and mentor a new applied science team of AI scientists and engineers.
  • •Drive cross-project hiring during project startup, then take primary responsibility for staffing and steering the MMIFM team.
  • •Provide scientific and technical thought leadership shaping strategy and research direction for multimodal foundation models and world models for business data.
  • •Ensure success, quality, and delivery of models and benchmarks, and support scientific publications at top-tier conferences.
  • •Partner with peer leaders and product incubation and partnering teams to align research direction with business value and deliver outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, with a strong research track record (publications at top ML/NLP/AI venues) or equivalent applied achievements.
  • •Experience delivering foundation models at scale, including training pipelines, evaluation, and productization (ideally for multi-modal or structured data).
  • •Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow (or similar) to participate credibly in technical discussions.
  • •Demonstrated leadership with the ability to set and achieve team goals, mentor team members, and deliver results in large, diverse teams.
  • •Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, including defending model architecture in deep technical reviews and representing the team externally.
