Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the Planning team function preparing production schedules for Annual Budget and Long Term Plans and deliver planning improvement projects.
  • •Act as Competent Person for UG Ore Reserves statements (JORC, NI 43-101 etc) and support Mine Planning activities.
  • •Receive inputs from multiple departments, analyze data, and create achievable plans reflecting up-to-date inputs and historical performance.
  • •Develop and maintain production/development models and cave draw plans, including reconciliation and cave calibration processes with robust QAQC checking.
  • •Provide visible leadership in the field via regular underground inspections and support technical coordination with construction teams; train junior engineers.

  • •Lead the Planning function by preparing production schedules for the Annual Budget and Long Term Plans.
  • •Act as the Competent Person for UG Ore Reserves statements (JORC, NI 43-101 etc).
  • •Develop and maintain Production and Development Models for long-term and budget planning processes compliant with Rio Tinto Mine Planning Framework and Theory of Constraints.
  • •Ensure cave draw strategies and life-of-mine cave draw plans are compliant with the Cave Management Plan and operational/geotechnical constraints.
  • •Coach and lead the planning team, supporting improvements and training junior engineers.
