Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, transporting loads safely and timely on required routes.
  • •Manoeuvre truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading and return equipment to designated areas using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain and deliver signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork to the appropriate office after delivery.
  • •Facilitate routine service checks on trucks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight, depending on state.
  • •Pass DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs) and comply with required background and drug testing under federal/state DOT regulations.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • •Maintain strong interpersonal and customer service skills and communicate professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, tolerate prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab, and follow safety requirements for a safety-sensitive role.
