Job Summary

Perform non-destructive inspections on aircraft components using methods such as FPI, X-ray, etch, ultrasonic, and CT scanning. Key Responsibilities

•Perform non-destructive inspection (NDI) on aircraft components using FPI/X-ray/etch/ultrasonic/CT scan methods, clean components, identify defects, interpret results, and present findings.
•Maintain NDT equipment and comply with customer, FAA, and JAA technical data and operating procedures, including proper segregation and identification of components in progress.
•Perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions, interpret engineering technical data (e.g., part drawings), and use fixed/variable measuring instruments and automated measuring.
•Complete test reports and perform Solumina required job audits for OpCert surveillance and OpCert over-inspects as required.
•Train other inspectors/trainees, provide technical support to operations, and support the physical activities required for inspection work.

Key Requirements

•1+ years of experience in any NDT method (fluorescent penetrant, X-ray, magnetic particle, CT, ultrasonic, etch), or certification/degree in an NDT method.
•3+ years of experience working in a Quality or related technical role within a manufacturing/production facility.
•High school diploma or GED/equivalent.
•U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under the program/contract.
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
