Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor, validate, and improve the quality of key datasets supporting Chartering products.
  • •Investigate data gaps, inconsistencies, and customer-reported issues using data analysis to identify root causes and drive resolution.
  • •Curate and validate vessel ownership, commercial management, operator information, and relevant vessel characteristics.
  • •Use SQL to query large datasets (including cargo and AIS data) to identify incorrect or inconsistent information at scale.
  • •Use Python notebooks to extract, transform, and analyse data, developing validation scripts and repeatable quality checks.

Key Requirements

  • •1–3 years of experience in data analysis, market research, maritime/shipping, commodities, or a related analytical role.
  • •Proven hands-on experience with SQL, including writing queries to analyse and investigate large datasets.
  • •Proven hands-on experience with Python, including using notebooks for data analysis, transformation, or validation.
  • •Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail to identify patterns and inconsistencies in data.
