Key Responsibilities

  • •Generate, review, and edit user-focused documentation aligned with task/conditions/standards in collaboration with engineering and test.
  • •Document autonomy behaviors, operating modes, and failure/contingency handling while keeping documentation current across releases.
  • •Own autonomy interface and message reference documentation using government interface definitions, protobuf/schema definitions, and source code; support vendor integration with testable artifacts.
  • •Produce developer and integrator reference materials (e.g., architecture/design documents, sequence/state diagrams, configuration references) that match implementation.
  • •Run intake/triage for documentation requests and manage publication accuracy, navigability, and release-over-release updates; support flight test events by turning lessons learned into documentation updates.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of proven technical documentation experience for software or software-intensive systems.
  • •Experience interpreting engineering documentation, including interface/message definitions, schemas, and requirements artifacts, with comfort reading source code.
  • •Experience using content authoring tools (e.g., Arbortext, RapidAuthor) and structured authoring workflows.
  • •Working knowledge of S1000D structured authoring with Common Source Data Base (CSDB) and related business rules.
  • •Proficiency with developer toolchains (Git/version control, pull requests, Markdown/MDX) and documentation CI build/deploy pipelines.
