Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide PM leadership for high-voltage and EHV substation and/or transmission line engineering projects, overseeing detailed design, budgets, forecasts, margins, and KPIs.
  • •Ensure adherence to project lifecycle phases (proposal, planning/startup, execution, reporting, and closeout) with quality that meets corporate and client standards.
  • •Develop strategies to engage project stakeholders, maintain relationships, and report progress, including monthly status and major issue impacts to scope and budget.
  • •Support pursuit/initiation activities including Go/No-Go decisions, contract reviews, risk mitigation and pricing reviews, and participate in contract negotiations and client presentations.
  • •Lead project governance such as QA/QC technical reviews, risk contingencies and recovery plans, kick-off meetings, and formal closeout with lessons learned documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field within the Power & Energy market.
  • •12 years of relevant post-education experience in a project management role within the Power Delivery/Utility industry.
  • •Minimum 5 years applicable industry experience working and/or providing engineering services for IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, Munis, and construction contractors.
  • •Minimum 5 years leading engineering and/or construction teams on medium to large high-voltage and/or extra high-voltage substation and/or transmission line projects.
  • •Proficiency with project management processes and tools including contract management, earned value, change management, risk management, and schedule management (CPM such as Primavera P6 or equivalent).
