Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, test, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and fiber infrastructure.
  • •Troubleshoot service-impacting issues and take corrective actions to restore customer services.
  • •Support customer installations, service turn-ups, maintenance activities, and repair work.
  • •Maintain and support ILA sites and network infrastructure across assigned service territories.
  • •Complete work orders and documentation while safely operating vehicles, tools, and field equipment; participate in on-call rotations and travel as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED, or up to 2 years of relevant job experience, including 1+ years in network monitoring, installation, or maintenance/repair.
  • •Entry-level technician knowledge of at least one discipline: Transmission (DS1/DS3/SONET), Switching (circuit-switching/SS7), TCP/IP (routers/higher-layer protocols), or Outside Plant (fiber locating, OTDR, Mass Fusion Splicing).
  • •Knowledge of locating fiber optic cable, right-of-way, and As-Builts.
  • •PC skills with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, plus ability to quickly learn corporate databases.
  • •Must be able to work safely in all weather conditions, lift 50 lbs, and participate in 24x7 on-call rotations (call out/dispatch/overtime as dictated by the business), with a valid driver’s license.
