Job Summary

Supervise and lead 1st shift production at the Oxford, NC site, guiding, mentoring, and training direct reports to deliver safety, quality, and continuous-improvement outcomes. Assign associates to lines, manage shift handoffs, monitor schedules, inventory, compliance, and equipment performance, and drive improvement initiatives targeting waste reduction, labor costs, and OEE. Coordinate with operations and functional partners, perform root-cause corrective actions, and produce shift metrics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•Guide, mentor, and train direct reports; assign associates to lines and ensure safe, compliant work aligned to plant safety rules and GMP guidelines.
•Lead daily production for the assigned value stream and monitor production schedules, order completion, and finished goods inventory levels.
•Drive improvement projects and initiatives (safety, quality, waste reduction, labor costs, and OEE), including line ownership target setting and action execution.
•Solve production issues through root-cause corrective actions, maximize line uptime/throughput, and review scrap and potential quality concerns.
•Provide shift metrics and reporting, communicate proactively with the Operations Manager, and serve as backup for the BU Operations Manager as needed.

Key Requirements

•5-7 years of experience, with a 4-year BS/BA in an engineering discipline preferred (other relevant study considered).
•Proven track record supervising associates in a production environment, preferably drug and/or cosmetic.
•Knowledge of production equipment and safe operating techniques, including troubleshooting methods.
•Demonstrated teamwork with the ability to motivate, communicate, and develop associates.
•Knowledge and experience operating in an FDA-GMP environment, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
