Job Summary

Build and run cloud infrastructure that keeps Airwallex fast, secure, and always available for cross-border payments. Join the Infra Platform team to work with Kubernetes, service mesh (Istio), and public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure), helping make systems reliable and easy for engineers to use. You’ll automate infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code and contribute strong security and API design expertise to scale globally.

Key Responsibilities

•Work on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) to build and run infrastructure systems that support cross-border payment solutions.
•Make systems secure and reliable, ensuring performance and security for infrastructure and core services.
•Use Kubernetes and Istio service mesh to help create and maintain scalable infrastructure.
•Automate infrastructure and reduce manual work using Infrastructure as Code.
•Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teammates to scale globally and keep systems easy for engineers to use.

Key Requirements

•6+ years working with large, distributed systems and a solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and patterns.
•Deep experience with public cloud (GCP, AWS, or Azure), Infrastructure as Code, and Kubernetes, including experience with Istio service mesh.
•Ability to write services in Golang (preferred) or Python.
•Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or similar field.
•Strong security skills with hands-on security best practices, plus strong communication and collaboration skills.
