Job Summary

Build privacy-aware backend infrastructure for AI-powered TikTok experiences as part of the AI Privacy team within Privacy & Security. Partner with PMs to design data governance platform functionalities, develop privacy engineering frameworks and platforms, and implement anonymization/pseudonymization/encryption for ML data processing. Work cross-functionally with operations and business teams to solve technical challenges across the product suite, while continuously improving efficiency and stability through industry privacy engineering advancements.

Key Requirements

•In-depth understanding of computer principles, server architecture, and data structures/algorithms, plus proficiency in a programming language.
•Ability to understand business scenarios and requirements and design reasonable technical solutions.
•Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit.
•Rigorous logical thinking.
•Bachelor’s degree or above with 3+ years of software engineering experience (preferred), including experience delivering distributed systems/data infrastructure in production.
