Key Responsibilities

  • •Own OKX’s framework for identifying conduct warranting criminal referral and support charging and prosecution with relevant authorities.
  • •Lead the regional civil docket end-to-end, including strategy and resolution for disputes on both defence and plaintiff sides, including commercial and consumer matters.
  • •Lead arbitrations in the region as counsel-in-charge, including pleadings, evidence, hearings, and enforcement proceedings, and develop mass arbitration risk mitigation plans.
  • •Develop and lead responses to regulatory enforcement inquiries and scope, lead, and conduct sensitive internal investigations with remediation support.
  • •Lead and develop the in-region team, manage external counsel and experts, own the contentious budget decisions, and provide decision-ready reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Admitted as a solicitor or barrister in Hong Kong; based in Hong Kong or Singapore.
  • •12+ years post-qualification experience in contentious work with Asia experience.
  • •Prosecutorial or criminal enforcement background plus arbitration and trial experience, with a track record leading a team.
  • •Sound judgment under ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with a growing regulatory landscape.
  • •Fluent written and spoken English; professional working level Mandarin and/or Cantonese strongly preferred.
  • •Willing to travel across the region.
