Job Summary

Risk Manager within the Project Controls Team, based in the Yorkshire/Northeast region. You will lead identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats and opportunities on high-profile infrastructure projects across energy, renewables, defence, rail and utilities, using quantitative and qualitative methods, and presenting risk insights to senior management to influence contingency decisions.

Key Responsibilities

•Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities, and issues.
•Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling, timely drawdown of risk budget or retirement of threat/opportunity.
•Assist with the identification and development of appropriate management responses which are measurable and specific, along with assessing the post mitigated positions.
•Monitor overall risk exposure and assess against the remaining risk budget and timeline.
•Produce and present fit for purpose risk reports, in a timely manner, to support the effective communication of threat & opportunity status and required senior management action.

Key Requirements

•Experience delivering risk management on major projects/programmes or blue-chip clients, with project experience in energy, renewables, defence, rail and utilities advantageous.
•Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative risk assessment including probabilistic modelling (e.g., @risk, PRA) with industry-leading training available.
•Working understanding of developing and implementing integrated risk management solutions across portfolios, programmes and projects.
•Ability to facilitate Risk and Scenario Analysis workshops and develop proactive threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation.
•Broad understanding of Project Controls methodology and risk management interactions; familiarity with tools such as ARM, Xactium, Predict, Tableau, PowerBI.
