Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement features and performance improvements for metadata-team services such as discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history.
  • •Develop, maintain, and test maintainable code while optimizing critical performance paths.
  • •Write and review feature-level technical designs and clearly explain trade-offs to the team.
  • •Improve test coverage and refactor to reduce technical debt, including unit tests.
  • •Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations, following up with post-mortems and mitigation plans.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of software engineering experience designing and building backend services and reusable components from scratch.
  • •Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing concepts.
  • •Ability to write well-structured, performant, well-tested code and lead feature-level design work independently.
  • •Experience with code reviews, design/troubleshooting, and testing.
  • •Hands-on proficiency with a modern backend/systems language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or C#) and containerization/cloud platforms (Docker, Kubernetes; AWS/GCP/Azure).
