Job Summary

Oversee and direct operations of an underground aggregates mining crew, including coordinating personnel, equipment, trucking, and materials. Supervise the crew to ensure proper resource placement, maintain job records and daily reporting, and manage scheduling, progress, payroll, and safety inspections. Conduct weekly safety Toolbox Talks, track equipment usage and fuel, collaborate with Quality Control, and handle planning, delegation, coaching, and shift handoffs.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee and direct underground aggregates mining crew operations, including personnel, equipment, trucking, and materials.
•Supervise and direct the crew to ensure proper placement of resources and complete required daily reporting.
•Maintain job records including schedules, progress, payroll, equipment, and safety inspections.
•Lead weekly safety Toolbox Talks and internal safety inspections to ensure safety policies are practiced and enforced.
•Plan, assign, and direct work through delegation; manage employee performance with coaching, feedback, rewards, and discipline; train new employees and relay accurate information to oncoming shift.

Key Requirements

•Have the State of Ohio Underground Stone Foreman Certification.
•3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Proficient with Excel, Outlook, Windows, and Word.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and to write routine reports and correspondence.
•Ability to follow safety requirements and procedures and to work nights, weekends, and travel away from home when required.
