Key Responsibilities

  • •Review contractor HSE plans, risk assessments, JSA/JHA, method statements, and emergency-response procedures.
  • •Monitor permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, and electrical-safety systems; inspect work-at-height, tower erection, stringing, lifting, excavation, scaffolding, and confined-space work.
  • •Verify competency, certification, and authorization of operators, riggers, electricians, equipment operators, and specialist personnel.
  • •Conduct daily inspections, planned audits, toolbox-talk reviews, safety observations, and monitor lifting plans/crane operations and exclusion zones.
  • •Investigate incidents/near misses and environmental events, review root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions, maintain HSE statistics, and coordinate emergency drills and energization/commissioning safety readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or diploma in Engineering with a recognized industrial-safety qualification.
  • •Minimum 8 years of HSE experience in construction or power-infrastructure projects.
  • •Experience in EHV transmission line and substation works.
  • •NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • •Knowledge of work-at-height, lifting, excavation, electrical-safety, and permit-to-work requirements.
