Job Summary

Manage and coordinate materials and manufacturing requirements under direct supervision, forecasting needs and communicating with suppliers to support engineering product development. Contribute to materials strategy creation, releases, and updates, and help drive commercialization plans and material change control. Support make-vs-buy decisions, supplier selection and risk assessments, and track supplier performance while generating KPIs and monitoring total landed cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

•Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers, supporting outsourcing decisions via make-versus-buy analysis.
•Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure and participate in the Materials Core Team to align product development deliverables.
•Support creation, release, and updates to new project materials strategy, commercialization materials planning, and material change control processes.
•Assist with supplier price and delivery negotiations (as needed), preferred supplier selection/assessment, supplier risk assessment, and supplier performance monitoring (delivery, quality, cost).
•Work with engineering to identify critical/long-lead parts and inspection requirements, resolve quality issues, and generate/publish KPIs and total landed cost tracking.
