Job Summary

Develop embedded Ada software for autopilot systems within Survey Copter, Airbus Helicopters’ drone division. Define and maintain software requirements and traceability, write technical documentation, perform unit/integration/system tests, and execute non-regression campaigns. Participate in SIL/HIL validations and flight tests, analyze results, drive fixes, and contribute to safety and DO-178C certification in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team in Pierrelatte.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop embedded autopilot software in Ada for the drone system
•Define and maintain software requirements and their traceability across the lifecycle
•Write technical documentation (specifications, design, justification)
•Develop and run software tests (unit, integration, system) and manage non-regression testing across the product family
•Participate in bench validations (SIL/HIL) and flight tests, analyze results, and drive corrective actions

Key Requirements

•Bachelor-level 5 degree in embedded systems or real-time computing with 3-5 years in an industrial environment
•Proficiency in an embedded language (C/C++ recommended); Ada knowledge is a plus
•Strong object-oriented design and programming skills
•Experience with software testing (unit, integration, HIL/SIL) and with development tools (Git, CI/CD, static analysis)
•Familiarity with DO-178C and safety-critical system concepts; rigorous, autonomous, team-oriented work style
