Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule while obeying traffic laws and observing safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service checks; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state for the weight of the vehicle operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing per federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Maintain strong interpersonal and customer service skills when speaking professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab; travel frequently.
