Job Summary

Build and evolve a scalable, multi-tenant travel commerce platform powering travel purchases for major global partners. You’ll improve backend codebases for humans and AI agents, own end-to-end features (partner-facing included), and architect foundational patterns to launch new partner experiences faster. Collaborate asynchronously with senior engineers, PMs, and business partners to refine the roadmap, using AI orchestration and feedback loops to ship reliably at pace.

•Identify and execute codebase improvements that help humans and AI agents ship safely and quickly.
•Own features end-to-end, primarily backend with partner-facing surface impact, using AI tooling across the stack as needed.
•Architect scalable solutions and foundational patterns to efficiently launch new partner experiences.
•Drive technical decisions and consensus asynchronously via thoughtful documentation and specs.
•Collaborate with PMs and business partners to define and refine the roadmap and deliver on shared priorities.

•Experience designing guardrails and feedback loops for AI-assisted development to be productive and reliable.
•Mastery-level experience with (or willingness to quickly learn) distributed system development in Scala.
•Strong product thinking anchored in customer experience and quality/architecture tradeoffs.
•Ability to direct AI agents and automated workflows for complex systems, with judgment on when to intervene.
•A natural drive to dive into unknown codebases and deliver results quickly.
