Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee and manage AML Investigations and Analysis, leading on-shore investigators and (indirectly) analysts in relevant Centers of Excellence across in-scope products in RBG and CIBG.
  • •Decide on cases requiring filing STRs to the Financial Intelligence Unit of the United Arab Emirates in the capacity of Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) / MLRO delegate.
  • •Oversee and manage the operations of the Regulatory Response Unit (RRU).
  • •Provide AML advice and guidance to Embedded Compliance functions and to Business, Technology, Digital/Analytics, and Operations; promptly escalate critical AML issues for risk reduction and reputation management.
  • •Support AML intelligence exchange and lead technology/advanced analytics and efficiency initiatives to improve AML risk coverage and reduce process inefficiencies, including optimization of TM models and regulatory/audit responses.
