Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trailers and equipment with little or no supervision.
  • •Complete DOT forms and other documentation on repair orders, including uploading pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings via company-issued tools.
  • •Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and perform minor adjustments/repairs on trailer systems (e.g., brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps/engines, liftgates, brake chambers).
  • •Operate and maintain the company-issued service vehicle and tools, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Respond to call center-dispatched unscheduled service requests and manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (trailers), or alternative combinations totaling 5 years’ experience.
  • •Possess and supply the hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; a valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity may be submitted in lieu of a physical.
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File; candidates must be at least 21 years old.
  • •Class CDL C License required; must obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
