Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare ultra-thin specimens and/or perform TEM analysis to support process/product development, qualification, and failure analysis.
  • •Use dual-beam FIB for TEM sample preparation and/or TEM for imaging and analysis.
  • •Conduct engineering tasks and detailed technical procedures for sample preparation and imaging using focused-ion-beam and transmission electron microscope tools.
  • •Maintain necessary records and reports while completing work according to general instructions and prioritization.
  • •Perform related duties as required or directed to support R&D activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical area (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Technology, Material Science, or comparable) OR at least 1+ years of hands-on lab or manufacturing experience.
  • •1+ years of experience in a military-relevant context (preferred).
  • •Technical certification in Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) sample preparation or imaging (preferred).
  • •Ability to continuously upgrade skills and learn from others.
  • •Ability to resolve non-standard problems using some degree of judgment.
