Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain, repair, and modify molds for plastic injection and die casting.
  • •Safely disassemble and assemble molds in a timely, efficient manner.
  • •Repair and/or fabricate cores, cavities, and mold components.
  • •Perform hand work repairs to part details and mold features (e.g., lifters, slides, polished cavities, texture, venting, spotting).
  • •Troubleshoot with production and maintenance and support scrap/cycle-time/downtime reduction through tooling and process collaboration.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •3+ years of hands-on technician experience with tool maintenance and/or repair with plastic injection molds.
  • •1+ years of welding experience.
  • •Experience troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems (e.g., hot runner, limit switches, sequential valve gate cylinders).
  • •Familiarity with dimensional inspection/inspection results (e.g., check fixtures, CMM or vision systems).
