Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee local team and operations in Germany, setting opportunities, direction, and growth strategy.
  • •Lead product localization by working with Product Managers and Product Engineers to build hyper-localized products and experiences.
  • •Manage regulatory licensing and registrations in Germany by coordinating processes with central banking and expansion teams.
  • •Serve as Country Manager and Director/Legal Representative for Wise’s German branch, ensuring governance and accountable operations.
  • •Represent Wise in Germany (PR, government relations, product marketing) and lead commercial discussions and partnerships with industry and financial institutions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: EUR 124,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Be business fluent in German and English.
  • •Manage local entity operations and ensure relevant compliance.
  • •Understand financial and payments systems and how German regulators work to drive licensing and execution.
  • •Have knowledge of financial and payments regulations (including tax, law enforcement, consumer protection) and risk/anti-money laundering controls.
